The majority of SPT configuration settings and amendments are carried out remotely, however the user who is local to the SPT does have the ability to view and amend a number of environment variables using a combination of the Display and the A, B & C buttons.
When reading the Menu, the environment variable is spelled out via the display, followed by an equals (=) sign and then the environment variable value.
The Menu list is as follows:-
- 1 - The SPT Local Area Network (LAN) address (Variable MY_IP_ADDRESS)
- 2 - The local IP port (variable LOCAL_PORT)
- 3 - The Wide Area Network (WAN)Address the SPT is communicating with (variable IP_ADDRESS)
- 4 - The Port number the SPT is using at the WAN address (variable IP_PORT)
- 5 - The local router or default gateway that the SPT is communicating with (variable DEFAULT_GW)
- 6 - The subnet mask associated with the SPTs LAN address (variable NETMASK)
- 7 - The GSM/SIM PIN number (variable GSM_PIN_NUMBER)
- 8 - The GSM/SIM PUK number (variable GSM_PUK_NUMBER)
- 9 - The type of panel that the SPT is expecting to connect to on one of its data ports RS232, RS485 or TTL (variable PANEL_TYPE)
- A - The communication routes that the SPT is configured to utilise for example IP, GPRS_NV or PSTN (variable PATHS)
- B - The status of the hardwire PIN outputs; a=alarm; r=restore (variable PINS)
- C - Remote access and amendment of variables permissions (variable REMOTE_ENV_ACCESS)
- D - The Account number assigned to the SPT. Also known as Chip ID, Site ID etc. Used in Auto Take On to commission the equipment (variable ACCOUNT)
- E - The serial number of the equipment ((indicated via label on the Ethernet/IP Interface, format 5x-xxxxxx-1) Variable SERIALNUM
- F - The GPRS connection to the Internet utilised by the SPT, associated with the SIM card (variable GPRS_ACCESSPOINT)
