Tele2 updates indicate that the underlying issue has been identified and efforts are being made to restore normal service however there is no indication of when this will be completed. In the meantime the impact on installations using Tele2 SIMs is the same as described in the previous statement.

Our service provider Tele2 have informed us that since earlier this morning they have a global problem with roaming based services. From WebWayOne’s point of view this is affecting 2G/3G data services and SMS delivery. 4G services are apparently unaffected. Tele2 inform us that the issue has been escalated to the highest level and that they are working with their suppliers to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. When they provide us with further information will provide additional updates. Installations that are dual path with a working alternate transmission interface will continue to operate but with reduced resilience. Single path installations using Tele2 SIMs will continue to operate normally unless they have a need to re-attach after which they will not be able to re-connect until the problem is resolved. New installations will not be able to attach in the first place. Based on previous experiences we fully expect all affected sites to recover without any user intervention. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and we await further updates from the supplier.
